Welcome, Olive! Congratulations to the parents, she’s wonderful! And I bet she’ll be a gourmet as soon as she can eat solid food 🙂
A warm hug from Italy, from one of your faithful readers.
Anca
Thanks for your lovely message, Anca! We suspect she might already be a gourmet and that she was deliberately late arriving due to the prospect of being stuck with boring old milk for the first six months, haha.
Welcome to the world little Olive – you are beautiful and I am sure your parents are the proudest parents in the world! My grandmother was also called Olive and she was an incredible woman – so you have a beautiful name in my eyes 🙂 Congratulations to you all!
Her parents are COMPLETELY besotted by her gorgeous, squidgy little self 🙂 xxx
She’s beautiful!!! Congratulations! I send the whole family my best wishes.

Lol, we are now forever bonded by the birth date of our kin 🙂

Best wishes Olive, may delicious BBQ be forever in your future
Hehe we’ll make sure of that!
Yay!! So exciting! Congratulations! And great name choice — perfect for such a cute little dumpling!
Oh yeah, we probably should have worked ‘Dumpling’ into her name somehow, hehe. Maybe that could be an extra middle name 😉
Congratulations, so happy for you!! Love the photo of the three of you.
Thanks Sophia!
congratulations!!!! Hope momma and poppa are getting plenty of rest 🙂
Sleep ins are certainly a thing of the past currently but on the whole we’re all doing pretty well!
glad to hear it, and looking forward to continuing to see and read about your new type of adventures! 🙂
Guys,congratulations! Olive is beautiful :’)
Esp. H-J, 辛苦了!!!! (which literally means “you have suffered” in Chinese, but is kind of a way of saying ‘well done’ or ‘great job’ haha).
And I love that she is named after food. I will probably do the same if I ever have a child.
Thanks so much, Jina! We look forward to introducing you when you’re here 🙂 Any ideas on food names for future babies?! Hehe.
Congratulations HJ and Dan!!!
She’s absolutely perfect ~ what an amazing addition to your family!!

Thanks for for lovely wishes guys 🙂 Yip, we’re doing really well at this end! Excited about having an extra along for the ride…
Congratulations! What a beautiful Baby!
Thank you so much! We’re feeling pretty impressed with ourselves, haha.
Oh, WOW. I knew you most likely had the baby by now and I’m really excited for you. Please forgive is for our delay in congratulations but our 24 yr old and our 34 yr old are now living with us again which puts a cramp in blogging. 😮 Oh, the joys of parenthood. 😉 All I can tell you is to get ready for the wildest ride of your life. BTW, if you ever receive a manual for Olive, please send it to me ASAP as we never received one for ANY of our children – it can never be too late. They also came with no warranty, express or implied, and perpetually drain our bank accounts, not to mention our energy and emotions. Think of it as the wildest roller coaster ride of your life taking you to the highest highs and most amazing drops conceivable. Labor is a piece of cake in comparison or so I’m told. 🙂 You will also find it is your secret, innermost desire is for her to have children so she can experience the same ride as you and finally understand. 😀 Much congratulations!!!!! You both will be wonderful parents and we wish you, and Olive, all the best. She will change your life in ways you have never dreamed.
Wow, if what is to come pales in comparison to labour, I DEFINITELY want to find that return card, stat, haha. I’ll let you know if I find a source of manuals/money-trees/warranties…
It’s funny you should say that about looking forward to your children having children. My mum has been quite open about her desire for this arrangement for a few years now (she even heckled our wedding vows, haha) and is absolutely relishing it, even from afar. It seems to be a pretty special relationship and, even better, one in which you can spoil them rotten and give them back to the parents at the end of the day.
We’re loving the roller coaster ride so far and cannot stop oogling her and congratulating ourselves for making such a fabulous little critter. Hope you and yours are all well and lovely to have you back! xxx
Olive, dear Olive. Langdon is waiting in the prairies of Canada to give you a big chubby hug! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I love your maternity gown by the way. Yours, or the hospitals??? You guys look sooooooooooo in love!
Oh that outfit was most definitely the hospitals…and they are very particular that you must wear it the whole time, lest you escape and not be recognisable by your garb. Mmm head-to-toe-pink…ahhhhh.
Haven’t been on your blog for a while. So happy to see that you have an additional family member. She is beautiful 😀 Congratulations!
Thank you so much! Shall include some more recent photos in upcoming blogs as looking back at that shows us just how much she has changed…Hope you are well and happy new year. x
